June 24, 2009 by computerappblogBest Gaming Mouse for Mac
We here at Computer App Blog have been huge fans of the Razer brand for many years. We had the great opportunity to evaluate their most recent mouse designed for the Mac, the DeathAdder. The DeathAdder for Mac is by far the best gaming mouse for the Macintosh. We have tested the features and capabilities in games on the Mac such as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Halo, Unreal Tournament 2004, and more. This mouse is a must-have if you are a Mac gamer, especially for the shooter genre.

RazerDeathAdder Application for Macintosh
Features and Customization
There are five programmable buttons included on the DeathAdder. This allows for some really sweet button configurations which we found most useful in shooters on the Mac. The DeathAdder comes with an application for the Mac which allows you to customize the many features on the mouse, such as: button assignment, advanced mousewheel options, polling rate, dpi switcher, setting profiles, sensitivity, scroll speed, double-click speed, advanced X & Y sensitivity, acceleration, and many more. The RazerDeathAdder application for the Mac is truly amazing for any casual or serious gamer who is interested in customizing and getting the most out of their gaming experience.
Comfort and Usability
All features aside, this mouse is comfortable! When playing games for hours at a time your hands usual get sweaty. This is barely even noticeable when using the DeathAdder for extended periods of time. The surface material on the face of the mouse is both smooth and comfortable. Even when your palm gets slick, they won’t slip. We found this mouse so comfortable and fitting to the hand that we even use it for everyday computer use, video editing, and graphic design. If you have small or large hands, the DeathAdder will still feel comfortable. It is a really great size and weight for everyone.

Razer Destructor Gaming Surface (w/ Case)
Razer Destructor Gaming Surface
Yes, a professional gaming mouse such as the Razer DeathAdder can improve your game. We would also direct your attention to a professional gaming surface (mousepad). We tested the Razer DeathAdder on the Razer Destructor Gaming Surface. It is impressive the wonders that a professional gaming mouse and surface can do for gaming as well as everyday computer use. Whether you’re a gamer or spend hours per day at the computer, we would highly recommend you check out the Razer Mice and Surfaces. Their brand we recommend for both Macintosh and Windows users. Razer has a large selection with a lot of variety, they cater to both Macintosh and Windows users.

Drobo – The Smartest External Storage Solution
April 14, 2009 by computerappblogData Redundancy of the Future, Available Now with Drobo
We set out to simplify our very large external data storage setup. We found Drobo. Drobo has 4 SATA Hard Drive slots. External connections for USB 2.0 and Firewire 800/400. You can also purchase a network adapter add-on to share this drive on a wired or wireless network. With the Drobo your data is backed up and protected against hard drive failure. Additionally, you can expand your storage in the future simply by adding additional drives or upgrading drive capacities. We primarily use the Drobo for file storage. We would recommend the Drobo for media enthusiasts on the Mac or PC. Data Robotics, Inc. recently released a DroboPro. More information on the Drobo family can be found at their website, http://www.drobo.com/.
